Theme: PAY OFF OUTSTANDING FINES DURING
HURRICANE KATRINA ANNIVERSARY
AMNESTY PROGRAM
PURPOSE
To afford defendants an opportunity during the Anniversary of Hurricane Katrina to pay their outstanding traffic fines without penalty or fear of being taken to jail.
Amnesty Program Applies to outstanding traffic fines due prior to September 30, 2009.
Cases or charges that cannot be considered or resolved through the Amnesty Program are those involving Driving under the Influence, Domestic Violence, Off Bonds, Violation of Probation, Crimes involving the use of a Weapon and/or Crimes Against a Person.
WHEN: August 23 thru September 3, 2010
Court Hours will be extended in the morning and evening (7:30AM to 5:30PM)
PROCEDURE
Defendants with outstanding traffic fines must do the following:
- Present him or herself to the court with identification.
- Defendant must pay the fine and court cost on the outstanding fine in full.
- Fines must be paid in full by cash, credit card, money order or cashier check.
- Citizens paying fines must bring a current driver’s license or picture I.D. and a copy of the actual ticket if possible.
This offer will not be extended. This is an opportunity to get all of your traffic fines paid and your driver’s license reinstated if suspended.
