Changes Made to Location of Voting Precincts

GULFPORT — A decision received this week from the U.S. Department of Justice changes the locations of two polling places in Gulfport for municipal elections.

Voters in precincts 1A and 2A will vote at new locations beginning with the May 5 primary elections for mayor and City Council.

1A.) Voters in precinct 1A who have voted at 28th Street Elementary School in the past will now vote at GASTON HEWES RECREATION CENTER at 2733 33rd AVE.

2A.) Voters in precinct 2A who have voted at the Charles L. Walker Senior Center in the past will now vote at the WEST SIDE SENIOR CENTER at 4008 8th ST.

The changes only effect municipal elections. Polling places for county, state and national elections may be different.

The following is a complete list of municipal polling places in Gulfport, which will be posted on the City Clerk’s webpage and circulated on flyers, advertisements and the mailing of new voter registration cards:
